Global Insights, Local Impact: Datasur’s Cloud Highlights

Datasur Attends Nutanix .NEXT 2025 in Washington, D.C.

From May 7–9, the Nutanix .NEXT 2025 conference took place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The event brought together over 5,000 IT professionals, engineers, and technology leaders to explore the latest advancements in cloud infrastructure, AI, and digital transformation.

Thanks to our strategic partnership with Velocity Tech, an official Nutanix partner, Datasur – together with Telesur – was proud to attend this world-class event. It was a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the latest innovations within the Nutanix ecosystem.

Throughout the three-day conference, we engaged in keynotes, deep-dive sessions, and hands-on labs covering hybrid multicloud strategies, enterprise AI, and modern Kubernetes-based solutions. Key announcements included the expansion of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) to Google Cloud, offering full support across all major hyperscalers, and the introduction of Cloud Native AOS, a hypervisor-free infrastructure platform tailored for containerized workloads.

We were also inspired by guest speakers such as humanitarian chef José Andrés and former U.S. Secret Service agent Evy Poumpouras, who shared powerful lessons on leadership and resilience.

For Datasur, this event goes beyond knowledge — it’s about action. We are applying the insights gained directly into our initiatives in Suriname and the wider Caribbean region, as we continue to build secure, scalable, and AI-ready cloud solutions for both public and private sectors.

Stay tuned as we turn these insights into action for Suriname and beyond.

Datasur at SEOGS 2025: Driving Digital Transformation in Suriname and Beyond

From June 17–20, Datasur proudly participated in the Suriname Energy, Oil & Gas Summit (SEOGS) 2025: the region’s premier platform for energy innovation and collaboration.

Our CEO, Dr. Anvit Ramlakhan, served on the prestigious SEOGS Advisory Board and chaired the panel on Digital Transformation during the Technical Conference. Together with regional and international experts, the session explored how technology is reshaping energy, sustainability, and business operations in the Caribbean.

Datasur has supported SEOGS since its very first edition in 2021. This year, our team members Chifaro Thijssen and Sergio Bruce joined the delegation to showcase Datasur’s latest services in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

Why this matters:

Our continued involvement reflects Datasur’s dedication to advancing digital innovation across the energy sector. By contributing our expertise and participating in key discussions, we’re helping to shape a smarter, more connected future for Suriname and the wider Caribbean.

We look forward to continued collaboration and driving meaningful impact — together.

CEO Anvit Ramlakhan Leads Workshop on AI, ICT & Cyber Bullying at NOS Adfontes School

As part of Datasur’s mission to empower the next generation, CEO Dr. Anvit Ramlakhan recently engaged with over 150 students at NOS Adfontes School during an inspiring workshop on digital awareness and responsibility.

Importantly, the discussion also addressed cyber bullying, a growing concern in today’s tech-driven world. Dr. Ramlakhan emphasized digital safety, empathy, and the need for awareness across all age groups.

Key takeaways for students:

  • Use two-factor authentication and authenticator apps.
