Cloud Carib Limited, the Caribbean’s leading provider of sovereign cloud and IT services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Datasur, Suriname’s national data center and cloud services provider, to forge a strategic partnership that will accelerate Suriname’s digital transformation journey. This sovereign cloud initiative enables Suriname’s data to remain within its national borders, governed by local laws and oversight. It marks a critical step toward digital independence, data security, and national resilience.

This collaboration advances Cloud Carib’s mission to build a resilient and interconnected digital infrastructure ecosystem across the Caribbean and Latin America. The agreement with Datasur adds to a growing roster of strategic alliances, following recent partnerships with Blue NAP Americas (Curaçao), Brava (Guyana, Cayman Islands & Bermuda), the Caribbean Data Center Association and Gaia-X (EU). Together, these initiatives reinforce Cloud Carib’s role as a regional leader in cloud infrastructure & innovation, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.

• Pilot projects in healthcare and finance, including mobile health platforms and secure payment gateways;
